Dressage at Hartbury

As the dreaded covid-19 restrictions are finally easing here in the UK, we took the opportunity to head over to Hartpury for the British Dressage Premier League, and caught up with rider, Andrew Bradley. Andrew competed in his all-black Rook, which looked beautiful with the chestnut colour of Berkeley TH.

“It was Bertie’s first Grand Prix at Hartpury last weekend. It’s always a big occasion, with five judges. Due to the atmosphere Bertie was rather tense, and understandably made a few errors, however we were thrilled with his overall performance and we look forward to working with him on this over the next few years.”

“I was lucky enough to ride my previous horse to Grand Prix, and never thought that I would be fortunate enough to be able to do it again, plus, another (Dude) well on his way to that level. It just goes to show what surrounding yourself with the correct people can do! I’m always humbled by the support people give.”

“Dressage is about connection between horse and rider”

“Julie [Masters] has been amazing with the saddles and The Rook by Aviar has made a massive difference to Bertie’s way of going. As soon as I sat in it I could feel he was more free in movement. I love it and so does he! Dressage is about connection between horse and rider, and Aviar has enhanced that connection.”
